At every stage in your Princeton Tiger journey, the 1746 Society can help secure both your legacy and your financial future.

Whether you’re building your career, focusing on family, planning for retirement or enjoying your golden years in orange and black style, the experts on Princeton’s Gift Planning team can guide you toward estate plans that make sense financially and also support future generations of Tigers.

Here, some of the 1746 Society’s newest inductees share the reasons they’ve demonstrated their commitment to Princeton by adding a gift to their estate plans.

“It’s an honor to give back to an institution that has given me so much! I hope that my future commitment will empower and uplift future generations of Princeton students for years to come.”

—Laura Herman ’18

“I am delighted to provide a seed fund for researchers in mechanical and aerospace engineering.”

“Education has always been the center of my life. Those who helped me along the way left a legacy through their generosity, and when my family began discussing estate plans, I knew intuitively I would give back to Princeton. I joined the 1746 Society because — why wait?”

—Owen Ayers ’19

“My daughter, Dr. Katherine C. Dallow ’94, and I established a scholarship fund in honor of and as a memorial to my husband Dr. Richard L. Dallow M.D. ’62. Richard was eternally grateful for the scholarship assistance he received from the University and steadfastly believed his Princeton education and experience were responsible for his pursuing additional post-graduate education and contributed to his professional and academic success. Princeton also instilled in him a lifelong passion for learning and teaching — both formal and informal. He would be humbled to know that he and our family are now in a legacy position of affording similar opportunities to deserving students at his, and his daughter’s, beloved alma mater.”
